Sometimes I’m sad that Archie didn’t hire Gisèle Lagacé to work on Josie and the Pussycats after the shortlived manga reboot. I mean, look at these tryout pages. Have the girls ever looked any cooler?
But most of the time I look at Menage à 3 and Eerie Cuties and I’m glad that Gisèle is free to do her own thing. Still, I wish she’d get a chance to officially add Josie to her resume some day in addition to Archie.

My thoughts exactly. God, I love Gisele’s art.

Do you all think it has anything to do with the content matter of her webcomics? I love Menage a 3 and keep meaning to start Eerie Cuties so it doesn’t bother me but I wonder if Archie is trying to protect their “family” image.
These pages are great though, lots of fun!

Nah, Archie comics has since hired her to write for the Archie title. I mean, they hired her do both a gender bending issue AND their latest Christmas issue. (Both of which were AMAZING.)

And here’s what how she drew Josie and the Pussycats as boys in the gender swap:

I’d say they’re probably okay with it.

Archie Comics pushes the envelope again. I was skeptical about all these changes at first, but I’m really excited for them! As long as they weren’t going to be ridiculous, unreal and over the top I was cool with it. I guess this proves Archie Comics can do no wrong.
